Blackjack question - Why do people double down with these seemingly bad hands?

1 % of gamblers use perfect basic strategy....at the black jack table, what are you drinking for free....what are they drinking......capital letters mean what? how much fun are you having losing your bankroll in four hours.....how much fun are they having losing it in 45 minutes,,,duh
