My boyfriend is in OSUT. Then he fractured his femoral neck What does this mean for his future military career?

They are sending him home on 30 day con leave and then are suppose to send him back to fort benning. I know everybody recovers differently, but I was just wondering if anyone had any experience in a similar situation? I just want to know if they are going to let him finish ait after he recovers or if they are going to try and medically discharge him. He was literally 3 weeks away from graduating. I know how bad he wants to serve in the army and I just need a little bit of hope to hold onto because all I've heard is bad things. Thank you in advance.
