If you can get your hands on his phone without him knowing, you can set an alarm for each day and then a message for that day but he may cheat and look ahead unless the first day you tell him not to. You can also set a reminder for each day and each reminder can tell him to look in a different place in the house for a love letter from you. Depending upon what day you leave you may be able to send a love letter each day starting several days before you leave and hopefully the mail will be regular so he will get a love letter that way each day.
