Whats the effect of space-time bending gravitation wave on Earth and Humans ?

When Blackholes collide or interact with each other they create a disturbance in space-time (or Gravity waves) like a pebble in a pond. uming such an event occurs and a gravity wave hits Earth , would we notice it ? Will there be a sudden movement in time or some difference in time on one place of earth relative to another which are hit at difference level in the wave ?
