Is this the best way to get a guy to leave his parents' house?

We've been trying to get my cousin who is 33 to move out of his parents basement and get a full time job. We've tried being nice but now I think we'll have to resort to ridiculing him. We even put this attractive lady up to asking him out and then canceling when she "found out that he still lived at home". I figure an organized plan of harment can't be too hard since we are just reinforcing a stereotype. Do you think this will work?
