Can I become a cop with a misdemeanor on my juvenile record.?

ok I have a question if i have two counts of theft that are misdemeanors on my juvnile record can i become a cop. I am in the process of getting them expunged could i become a cop? I am from Pa. I want to become a cop in oakland california. I am one year away from haveing my bacherlors degree in crimal justice.
